| So the first week of the Fall -04 semester is offically complete. Going back to school, or rather the school truely starting up again was rather rough. Since I have been going to school non-stop really since last year coming back for the fall wasn't too bad for me, it was just being around a lot of students again that got to me, since during the summer semester the student body population was cut in half.
Class right now isn't so bad, maybe it is the fact that it is just one class. That is helpful I will admit that. Of course my job at Camden yard also amlost coming to the close of the season is helpful too. I can't wait for this week to be over four games againt the yankees and then three agaisnt Toranto is not going to be fun. But I Have come to deal with things I suppose, and I guess the real question will be, do I stay with Camden and come back next season. Grant it they have offered me a bigger postion, with I am sure more money in it, but I don't know how much pressure I am will to put on myself, considering by that time next year when the new season rolls around I will be working on earning my Bacholor's. But at least I have a pplace in mind to start working once the season is over, a small bakery in Ellicott City, but I will have to see how that works out.
Garde Manger with Chef Andrews in nice. The chef is a good insturctor and it is obbivous he is going to work me hard. This week was intersting mainly because it was just that, the first week. We got to make Salmon Mousse as our entree, mushroom potatoes as our starch, and veggie stuffed turnups as our groups veggies. Also aside from all that we made salt dough for our art pieces, which we paint things onto in a french theme. I picked Pepe la pwe, the skunk from looney toons, he was so cute!! And now he is in the window of our Clavert Street class room in Baltimore. Finally we began to learn how to make flowers out of carrots, raddishes, and green onions, so we can put together buqets for the end of this coming week.
This week was nice though, with the Orieles out of town I got to send some time at home, though I don't think I really did. On saturday I spent time with Gene, the sweetest and most adorable man I have ever meet, and we went to Washington Dc and walked around looking at museums. Then we came back home and spent sometime walking movies and talking. My parents and brother were at South Carollol High School with my old High School's (Paint Branch) Marhcing band. The band placed fourth, but my periocus color gaurd placed first. Go Gaurd!! Today (sunday) Gene took my brother and me to the Renissance Festival. It was good to get to go back there, I hadn't been in a number of years, and since I am such a renissance person it was good to be back. We spent the entire day down there walking around, watching the shows, like Hack & Slash and Jonny Fox the swordswallorer. All great stuff, and the jousting and human chess games, we spend time shopping and eatting, and just enjoying the time period. I bought some things for myself such as Star Creme which is very potent and multi usable lotion, sunning creme, massgae oil, hair oil...ect. Also I bought myself a bronze medallion. On the one side of the medallion I have a unicorn to represent, strenght of mind, and innocence. The horn possesses great healing powers and can pierce through the veil of evil. On the other side of the medallion is the Triskellion, a celtic and notic symbol. The Triskellion contains triple sprials showing trinty, of mindm body, and spirit. Ever moving, ever changing. I think it medallion is pretty awesome and I made sure to pick things to suit me :)
Anwyays I think for my first entire Ihave done enough talking, so now I need to get to work and clean my room, and make sure I am ready to go to school and work before the morning rolls around. |
